    Profound Impact helps education, research and community organizations leverage data to measure program impact, tell their story and inform strategy. The Impactful Actions Awards is an annual awards program hosted by Profound Impact, recognizing leaders worldwide who are making a profound impact on the global community by inspiring collaborative solutions to difficult problems. This program brings together two of Profound Impact’s core values: open collaboration and making a positive impact.

    elerGreen formalizes collaboration with St. Lawrence College to build full-scale reactor, potentially upgraded into pilot plant.

    St. Lawrence College supports community-based research activities, especially conducting research/industry innovation between researchers and innovators. In future collaborations, St. Lawrence College may also provide other project supports such as in-kind or NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada).

    Comprised of experts from diverse disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, computer, and materials engineering, this collaborative team brings together expertise and creativity to assist the industry in solving real-world problems and conducting groundbreaking research with a sense of urgency.

    After spectacular success of COIL Activate project, elerGreen is named among 21 companies by Innovation Guelph to receive Government of Canada supported inclusion. diversity. environment. acceleration. (i.d.e.a.) Fund, to take its refined reactor design into full-scale reactor.

    i.d.e.a. Fund is a southern Ontario-focused initiative to support and position local economies in southern Ontario for long-term clean growth. These include providing high potential businesses with non-repayable grant and business advisory supports to develop or redesign green products, services, processes and technologies that reduce impacts to our environment and create made-in-Canada climate change solutions.

    The program fosters inclusion and diversity, with a focus on continuing Canada’s transition to a green economy. Supported by a $10-million Government of Canada investment through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), the i.d.e.a. Fund is being delivered by six Regional Innovation Centres (RICs), including Innovation Guelph.

    elerGreen to showcase its refined reactor models at Stackt Market on March 25, 2023

    elerGreen would like to invite the public towards a showcase event of elerGreen (free admission) 12pm-5pm on March 25, 2023, at 28 Bathurst St. Toronto, Ontario M5V 0R4:

    The showcase event also features other vendors among the Newcomer Entrepreneurship Hub (NEH) and Women’s Entrepreneurship Hub (WE-Hub), concurrently delivered by Scadding Court Community Centre (SCCC).

    SCCC is a multi-service, community-based organization with programs and services geared toward under-serviced, culturally and racially diverse groups including low-income women, children and families, at-risk youth, people with developmental and/or physical disabilities, and seniors. Scadding Court aims to create a community in which every individual and group has the capacity to achieve their full potential.

    elerGreen would also be showcasing its 3D-printed refined reactor model during this event. Exciting souvenirs would also be handed out.

    elerGreen receives funding from Innovation Guelph via COIL Activate Program to refine its reactor design

    elerGreen has been accepted into Circular Opportunity Innovation Launchpad (COIL) Activate program by Innovation Guelph to refine its reactor design.

    COIL Activate Circular Accelerator program is designed to help innovative companies grow and scale their circular economy businesses, products and solutions. Through funding, mentorship, education, links into a national and global circular economy network, COIL Activate builds the next generation of Canada’s circular economy business leaders.

    Innovation Guelph also serves as a hub where businesses and community converge, collaborate, and cross-pollinate. These include mentorship, business support services, programming, and events in supporting circular businesses to grow and thrive, to the next level.

  • PERUMIN Finalist

    elerGreen receives international recognition as PERUMIN Finalist in Environment and Sustainability category, for mining waste recovery

    elerGreen becomes Finalist in PERUMIN Competition 35, in the category of Environment and Sustainability, for meeting various UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with its project titled Recovery of metals from tailings using elerGreen Reactor.

    PERUMIN Competition was born from the alliance between the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP) and the Mining Innovation Hub of Peru. In this edition of PERUMIN Hub, 20 mining companies and more than 60 partners from 14 countries have participated.

    PERUMIN Competition aims to encourage the development of innovative solutions that respond to specific challenges in the mining industry, facilitate the consolidation of innovations through collaboration, and recognize successful innovations and promote their commercial take-off in the sector.

    elerGreen nominated as semi-finalist towards CANIE Awards by IEF, as Climate-Related Product Innovator of the Year

    elerGreen has been nominated as one of the four semi-finalists by the Innovators and Entrepreneurs Foundation (IEF) for the famous Canada Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CANIE) Awards, in the category of Climate-Related Product Innovator of the Year.

    The CANIE Awards is IEF’s flagship program recognizing excellence in Canadian innovation and entrepreneurship, where the Award winners receive business grant support. Each of the four semi-finalists per award category will receive a professionally produced business promotional video, while having the business marketed locally, regionally, and nationally.

    IEF aspires to support small-medium business founders and innovators from marginalized groups as they navigate the unfair barriers of institutional, structural, and interpersonal biases. Notably, IEF advocates, supports, educates, and celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship among business owners in marginalized and under-represented communities across Canada.

  • Fund R.A.I.S.E.-ing

    elerGreen to further accelerate cleantech venture via R.A.I.S.E. program and fundings jointly provided by DMS and Parkdale

    June 8, 2022

    After acceptance, elerGreen begins Racialized and Indigenous Supports for Entrepreneurs (R.A.I.S.E.) program jointly hosted by Digital Main Street (DMS) and Parkdale Centre of Innovation, aimed to support business with both training and funding.

    R.A.I.S.E. is a program focused on assisting Indigenous, Black and other racialized entrepreneurs to start and scale their business. The program will provide coaching, mentorship, advisory services and grants to entrepreneurs looking to increase their capacity and scale their business.

    R.A.I.S.E. program would bolster elerGreen’s available resources to catalyse elerGreen cleantech efforts, while elerGreen expects to reciprocate by contributing expertise and connections to the community. R.A.I.S.E. program is expected to be held in conjunction with other programs, including SHOPHere program by DMS to establish online store and the ongoing collaborative sales for elerGreen.
