elerGreen nominated as semi-finalist towards CANIE Awards by IEF, as Climate-Related Product Innovator of the Year

elerGreen has been nominated as one of the four semi-finalists by the Innovators and Entrepreneurs Foundation (IEF) for the famous Canada Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CANIE) Awards, in the category of Climate-Related Product Innovator of the Year.

The CANIE Awards is IEF’s flagship program recognizing excellence in Canadian innovation and entrepreneurship, where the Award winners receive business grant support. Each of the four semi-finalists per award category will receive a professionally produced business promotional video, while having the business marketed locally, regionally, and nationally.

IEF aspires to support small-medium business founders and innovators from marginalized groups as they navigate the unfair barriers of institutional, structural, and interpersonal biases. Notably, IEF advocates, supports, educates, and celebrates innovation and entrepreneurship among business owners in marginalized and under-represented communities across Canada.

elerGreen to further accelerate cleantech venture via R.A.I.S.E. program and fundings jointly provided by DMS and Parkdale

After acceptance, elerGreen begins Racialized and Indigenous Supports for Entrepreneurs (R.A.I.S.E.) program jointly hosted by Digital Main Street (DMS) and Parkdale Centre of Innovation, aimed to support business with both training and funding.

R.A.I.S.E. is a program focused on assisting Indigenous, Black and other racialized entrepreneurs to start and scale their business. The program will provide coaching, mentorship, advisory services and grants to entrepreneurs looking to increase their capacity and scale their business.

R.A.I.S.E. program would bolster elerGreen’s available resources to catalyse elerGreen cleantech efforts, while elerGreen expects to reciprocate by contributing expertise and connections to the community. R.A.I.S.E. program is expected to be held in conjunction with other programs, including SHOPHere program by DMS to establish online store and the ongoing collaborative sales for elerGreen.

elerGreen strengthens cleantech collaboration with numerous memberships including NGen and Foresight.

elerGreen’s welcomes series of recognitions by memberships including Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen) and Foresight Canada.

Next Generation Manufacturing Canada (NGen) is the industry-led community behind Canada’s most transformative advanced manufacturing projects. By joining as an NGen member, elerGreen participates in funding, collaboration and development opportunities in Canada’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem.

Foresight Canada, on the other hand, brings together innovators, industry, investors, government, and academia to address today’s most urgent climate issues and support a global transition to a green economy for Canada. By joining Foresight’s growing Community of Innovators, elerGreen contributes to the network of Canadians who are actively involved in cleantech and sustainability, in terms of research, engineering, technology, or entrepreneurship.

elerGreen to host Venture for Canada (VFC) Intrapreneurship Projects to foster Canadian entrepreneurship while leveraging elerGreen cleantech.

elerGreen formally signs contract with Venture for Canada (VFC) to collaborate on VFC Intrapreneurship Program, aimed to foster Canadian entrepreneurships while further leveraging elerGreen cleantech innovations for amplified benefits to the society.

Venture for Canada (VFC) is a national charity that fosters entrepreneurial skills and mindset in young Canadians. Notably, VFC Intrapreneurship Programconnects andprovides paid interns to individual or teams of Canadian youth to work on a challenge for businesses.

Through VFC Intrapreneurship Program, elerGreen contributes to Canadian entrepreneurship by facilitating entrepreneurial education and hands-on experience for future generations. An example includes organizational, social and business innovations, especially market research and policy reforms, integrated to operation and project management.

Rise to provide startup grant and resources to elerGreen and other Canadian entrepreneurs or startups.

January 10, 2022

elerGreen’s participation in EnterpRlSEing Youth Plus program by Rise Asset Development begins January 10, 2022.

Rise is a national organization dedicated to empowering people with challenges to achieve greater social and economic inclusion through entrepreneurship.

The programs at Rise include EnterpRlSEing Youth Plus for aspiring entrepreneurs aged 16 to 29 to provide various resources, coaching, networking and collaborations for entrepreneurs and startups. EnterpRlSEing Youth Plus comes with a startup grant, where further business loans are available through the Rise Small Business Lending Program.

Other than participation, elerGreen expects to bring in its expertise and connection to Rise and other members in Rise community for mutually beneficial collaborations or partnerships.

Incubation to house elerGreen Reactor aims to take elerGreen to the next stage while supporting Parkdale mandate.

November 12, 2021

elerGreen proceeds to next stage as a member startup incubated by Parkdale Centre of Innovation at 1464 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario.

Parkdale Centre of Innovation is an incubator & accelerator that supports entrepreneurs to start and grow their business, with a focus on equity, accessibility, and inclusion for underrepresented people, namely women, Black, Indigenous, people of color, and newcomers to Canada.

The incubation of elerGreen at Parkdale focuses to build, house and operate elerGreen’s proprietary moving electrode reactor for electrochemical polymer, metals and chemicals production. Notably, the project may involve field-testing and selling elerGreen Reactor to convert mine tailings waste into valuable metals together with Canadian and Peruvian mining/metallurgy companies, funded by Canadian government.

Throughout the incubation, elerGreen aims to reciprocate Parkdale support with mutually beneficial collaboration and partnerships by introducing elerGreen’s expertise and connection to the Parkdale community.

Induction of elerGreen into Innovation Asset Collective (IAC) community expected to foster innovation and IP leverage for Canadian SMEs.

Effective July 19, 2021, elerGreen is formally a member in the Innovation Asset Collective (IAC), thanks to courtesy of IAC for the invitation.

IAC assists Canadian Small and Medium -sized Enterprises (SMEs), especially in the cleantech sectors, to better leverage Intellectual Property (IP) to grow and scale. Such support by IAC include access to expertise and potential funding to generate, protect and grow their IP as their fruits of innovation.

elerGreen is honored for the invitation and would like express gratitude to IAC for such recognition of elerGreen’s work in cleantech entrepreneurship, innovation and IP development. As IP-rich cleantech company, elerGreen strives to contribute back to IAC community including feedback on IP expertise and potential utilization of elerGreen’s technology. elerGreen also expects to bring in its connection to IAC community for mutually beneficial collaborations or partnerships.

elerGreen wins minor business grants from Malaysian government

December 2, 2020

elerGreen has been awarded Special Welfare Grant (or GKP, Geran Khas Prihatin) by the Inland Revenue Board (or LHDN, Lembaga Hasil Dalam Negeri) as part of stimulus package by Malaysian government in light of the ravaging COVID-19 pandemic.

On the other hand, elerGreen has also benefited from similar stimulus and aids packages from Canadian government to keep up with operation under such pandemic unprecedented since the 2018 Spanish Flu.

While the grant amount is small, it is considered an unexpected gift just in time for the Christmas season. It would also come in handy considering elerGreen’s ongoing endeavour with the PCT Patent prosecution. elerGreen would strive to continue making a difference to the world while fostering economic growth by its projects and operations.

After having passed patent examination, PCT Patent titled “Electrochemical Production of Polymers”, PCT/MY2020/050012, has been published at World Intellectual Property Organization:

The 200-pages long PCT Patent covers a broad topics of the novel electrochemical polymer production technology.
